the questions that
everyone want to know...

Q. How will it make me feel?

A. The experience of contrast hydrotherapy can vary from person to person, but here are some common sensations and effects you might expect: Cold Phase: When you first immerse yourself in cold water, you might feel an initial shock to your system. This can be uncomfortable at first, causing rapid breathing and a sense of exhilaration or alertness as your body adjusts to the cold. Hot Phase: The hot water phase usually feels soothing and relaxing. It helps your muscles loosen up, and you might feel a sense of relief and comfort as your body warms up. Circulatory Response: The alternating temperatures cause your blood vessels to constrict and dilate, which can enhance blood circulation. This might make you feel a tingling sensation or a sense of warmth spreading through your body after the cold phase. Mental and Emotional Effects: The sudden change in temperature can have invigorating effects, leading to improved mood and a sense of mental clarity. The relaxation from the hot water can also reduce stress and anxiety levels, leaving you feeling calm and refreshed. Energy Boost: The contrast between hot and cold water can stimulate your nervous system, providing an energy boost that might leave you feeling more alert and awake. Adaptation Over Time: With regular use, your body may become more accustomed to the temperature changes, reducing the initial shock and enhancing the overall relaxing and rejuvenating effects.

A. Our recommendations: - 2 towels (one to sit on in the sauna) - A drink - Warm clothes for afterwards - Crocs or flip flop type shoes optional

Q. How does the water stay clean?

A. We request people come in a reasonably clean state, however there is a shower in the wellness room so you can rinse off before your session. We also require you to rinse off after each sauna session to remove sweat in order to help keep the ice tubs clean. Our Ice Baths contain a filtration system that cleans and recycles water at 10,000 litres per hour, with added Bromine sanitiser. This means that every 3 minutes, the entire tub of water is cleaned. After 2 days and depending on usage, we fully empty, clean and refill with fresh water.
